Fix common StreamZop stream errors
What each error on your dashboard means, and the exact steps to get back live.
Skip the setup. Stream to YouTube 24/7 from the cloud.
Upload once, paste your stream key, and StreamZop keeps it live around the clock with automatic restarts.

Most StreamZop stream errors come down to one of four fixable things: a stream key your destination rejected, a source video that is no longer there, an upload that did not finish, or a video file in a format we cannot use. None of them mean your account is broken. When a stream shows an error, the dashboard prints the reason in red and, for these fixable cases, a “How to fix” link that jumps to the matching section on this page. Find your error below and follow the steps, then press Go Live again. Streams retry automatically for a short while before giving up, so a brief network blip usually heals on its own without you doing anything.
“Refused the connection” or stream key errors
Your streaming destination (YouTube, Restream, Facebook, or a custom RTMP server) accepted the connection and then closed it, so nothing could be published. In ffmpeg terms you may see End of file or Error opening output. It is almost always the stream key, not StreamZop: the key is wrong, it has expired, or it is already in use by another stream or encoder.
- Copy a fresh stream key from your destination: on YouTube, open YouTube Studio → Go Live and copy the key from the Stream tab; on Restream, copy the RTMP key from your dashboard; on Facebook, copy it from Live Producer.
- In StreamZop, edit the stream, paste the new key, and save.
- Make sure the same key is not being used by another stream, OBS, or encoder at the same time.
- Use a persistent stream key, not a single-use one, so it keeps working after every restart.
- On YouTube, click Connect YouTube in StreamZop to fill the key in automatically and avoid typos.
- Press Go Live again.

“Video removed after inactivity” or “Source video not found”
StreamZop removes the stored video from streams that were created but left idle (never went live, or sat stopped for a long time) so it is not paying to store files nobody is streaming. It is not lost data going wrong on our side, just housekeeping on an unused stream.
- Edit the stream and choose your video (or audio) again to re-upload it.
- Press Go Live. Once a stream is actually running, it keeps going around the clock and will not be pruned.
- No original file handy? Start fresh with the audio + image option or a free sample, and swap your own media in later.

Upload failed or the file is too large
Uploads run in resumable chunks so they survive slow and mobile connections, but two things still stop them: a file over the 4 GB limit, or a connection that drops for too long.
- If the file is over 4 GB, trim or compress it first (a 1080p loop rarely needs to be that big).
- Keep the tab open until the upload finishes, and use the most stable connection you have.
- No video ready? Pick audio + image, or choose “No files yet? Use a sample”, and go live in about two minutes.
- Seeing “out of storage”? That is temporary on our side. Wait a few minutes and try again.

Unsupported or corrupt video (“Invalid data”)
“Invalid data found” or a transcode failure means the file could not be read as a valid video.
- Use MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio — the most reliable combination.
- If your file is a different container or codec, re-export or convert it to MP4 H.264 and upload again.
- If it plays on your computer but still fails, re-download or re-export a clean copy — the upload may have saved a partial, corrupted file.

“Daily limit” reached (this one is not a fault)
On the Free plan a stream runs for a set number of hours each day, then pauses and resumes automatically the next day, so seeing “Daily limit” is the plan working as intended, not an error.
- Wait for the daily reset — the stream resumes on its own.
- Or buy a day pass to keep it live 24/7 (₹49 in India).
- Or move up a plan for unlimited streaming hours.
“Run more streams at once” or saved-stream limit
Each plan allows a certain number of streams running at the same time, and a certain number saved in total.
- Stop another running stream, or delete a saved one you no longer need.
- To run more at the same time, upgrade your plan.

Frequently asked questions
What does “Error opening output” or “End of file” mean?+
Your streaming destination accepted the connection and then closed it, so nothing could be published. It almost always means the stream key is wrong, expired, or already in use by another stream or encoder. Copy a fresh stream key from your destination, re-enter it in StreamZop, and start the stream again.
Why did my uploaded video get removed?+
StreamZop prunes the stored file from streams that were left idle or never went live, to avoid paying to store unused videos. Re-upload the video from the stream's edit screen and go live. Once a stream is actually running it is not pruned.
Why won't my video upload?+
Uploads are limited to 4 GB and need a connection that stays up long enough to finish. Trim or compress a large file, keep the tab open until it completes, and try a more stable connection. If you have no video, use the audio + image option or a free sample instead.
What video format should I use?+
MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio is the most reliable. If you see “Invalid data found,” convert your file to MP4 H.264 and upload again.
Is “Daily limit” an error?+
No. On the Free plan a stream runs a set number of hours per day, then pauses and resumes the next day automatically. To stay live 24/7, buy a day pass or upgrade your plan.
